Dark is fine. Cruel is not. Here's where the line is.

What gets pulled

Anything aimed at a real person's tragedy by name, anything that mocks victims rather than the situation, and anything that targets people for their race, religion, disability, sexuality, or gender. Threats, doxxing, spam, and porn are gone on sight.

What's fair game

Jokes about events, headlines, institutions, and the general absurdity of bad timing. If you'd tell it to a room of strangers and expect groans instead of a fight, you're probably fine.

How it works

Every post is read by a person before it goes live. The crowd then votes too soon or fair game. Anyone can report a post or a comment; enough reports and it comes back to us for another look. Accounts that keep crossing the line get suspended.
