Privacy
Short version: we keep as little as we can, and we don't sell any of it.

What we collect
If you just read and vote: a random ID stored in your browser so each joke gets one vote per person, plus standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept briefly for security and to stop abuse.
If you post a joke: the joke, any picture, the name you type, and the time. Posts are public once approved.
If you create an account: your username, a scrambled version of your password (we can't read it), and an email if you choose to add one for password resets. Comments and comment votes are tied to your account. Comments are public.
If you sign in with Google or Facebook: we receive your name, email, and an ID number from them. We use the name to suggest a username and the ID to recognize you next time. We don't post to your accounts or see your friends.
If you buy an ad: Stripe handles payment. We never see your card number. We keep your sponsor name, email, ad content, dates, and the amount paid.
What we do with it
Run the site, show your posts and comments, count votes, send password reset emails you request, review reported content, and stop spam. That's the list.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't use it for advertising profiles. We don't send marketing email.
Who else touches it
Netlify hosts the site and stores its data. Stripe processes ad payments. Google and Facebook handle their own sign-ins under their own policies. If we add an email service for reset links, it sees the email address and nothing else.
Cookies and storage
No tracking cookies. Your browser holds a few small values so the site remembers your vote ID, your login, and your name in the post form. Clearing site data removes them.
Deleting your stuff
You can delete your own jokes from your account panel. To delete your account entirely, email us from the address on the account and we'll remove it within a week. Comments you made may remain, attributed to a deleted user, so conversations still make sense.
Age
This site is for adults. Don't use it if you're under 18. If you think a minor has created an account, tell us and we'll remove it.
Changes and contact
The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which means Google's privacy policy and terms apply to that page. Form submissions are stored by our host, Netlify, and read by us.
Some jokes show the original post they're about, embedded from X, Facebook, or Instagram. When you open one of those jokes, your browser loads that embed from the platform, and the platform's own privacy policy applies to it. The feed itself doesn't load anything from them.
